Arts

Clay faceWelcome to the Wild Ennerdale Arts pages. Here you can discover all about how we are using the arts to explore the relationship between people and the Ennerdale Valley.

Over the last five years the Wild Ennerdale Partnership has worked with many other organisations including Copeland Borough Council to fund a range of arts related projects and workshops.

We regularly organise an Easter trail and in 2009 invited children to write their own Easter Poems.

In addition to projects delivered by Wild Ennerdale many schools develop their own artwork from visiting the valley.

Eaglesfield Paddle School visit the valley every year,
cycling from the school with the children. Each year the
children produce stories and poetry (2mb powerpoint)
about their experiences in Ennerdale.

Ennerdale & Kinniside School lies in the village of Ennerdale Bridge at the west end of the valley. During early 2008 the children explored visions of Ennerdale through collage by creating their own versions of the images used in the Wild Ennerdale 2008 calendar.
