In asociation with Natural England and Flora of The Fells we are pleased to invite you to the following events.

Thursday 29th May Farming, forestry and people: the evolving landscape of Ennerdale. Join staff from Wild Ennerdale and Cumbria Farm Network for a guided walk along the Smithy Beck route and lakeshore. Hear about the work of the Wild Ennerdale Partnership and Cumbria Farm Network, with focus on farming and woodland management in this remote Lakeland valley .Time: 11am – 4pm (plenty of rest stops too!), Distance: approx. 6 miles, Grade: easy/moderate, Start/Finish Point: Bowness Knott Forestry Commission car park (NY 111154), Please bring: Walking boots, waterproofs, packed lunch & drink.To book a place on this event please telephone.The National Trust on 01946 816940.
